Sources of Strength is a school-based program that promotes student well-being by encouraging connection, support, and help-seeking.
At Myers Park High School, the program helps students recognize that support can come from many places—and that reaching out for themselves or for a friend is a normal part of school life.
What is Sources of Strength?
A diverse team of 100+ student peer leaders, nominated by staff, designs and leads wellness campaigns that strengthen connection, resilience, and help-seeking across campus.
Student leaders amplify messages of hope, belonging, and care while partnering with visible, trusted adults who model approachability and support.
School-wide activities, campaigns, and positive messaging create a culture where every student feels seen, valued, and encouraged to reach out when they or a friend need help.
